5 Must Things to do – Natural wonders in Denmark

Denmark River

Pack a picnic and spend an afternoon relaxing by the tranquil Denmark River near the town of Denmark.
Grassy lawn and shady trees make this a charming area for picnicking and for children to play. Take a walk along the Mokare Heritage Trail which is an easy three kilometre circuit around the bridges and along the banks of the Denmark River.

Greens Pool

Rated one of Western Australia’s most idyllic beaches, stunning Greens Pool near Denmark offers superb swimming, snorkelling and diving. It’s a sheltered natural swimming pool of clear emerald water edged by white sand and smooth domed rocks that stop the swell from reaching the shore.
Go snorkelling or diving and explore the rock pools.

Mount Shadforth Scenic Drive

Proceed from the South Coast Highway along North Street to Mount Shadforth Road which rises to give wonderful views of the surrounding farming districts and ocean scenery. A range of art and craft outlets and wineries can be explored close to this tourist drive. If you have time for only a short trip, turn left at Cussons Road about three kilometres from town.

Scotsdale Tourist Drive

The Scotsdale Tourist Drive provides visitors with views of towering Karri trees and lush forests with an array of wildflowers and bird life. The route will introduce you to a number of charming art and craft galleries, studios and workshops, perfect for purchasing a gift or a personal reminder of Denmark.

Wilson Inlet Heritage Walk Trail

Enjoy the beautiful views and fascinating changing landscape along the Wilson Inlet Heritage Walk Trail. The walk takes you around the inlet and across the Old Railway Bridge at the mouth of the river. Along the way you will find many perfect photo opportunities and interesting lookouts. Walk or cycle along the twelve kilometre trail and be sure to deviate down to the beach if time permits.
