Forest Hill Winery celebrates 40 years of Riesling with a rustic long-table seafood evening

 Join local Chef Dan Sharp and well renowned Chef Don Hancey for an evening at Forest Hill Winery. Don is recognised as one of Western Australia’s most dynamic and innovative chefs for his simple, yet brilliant, ability of pairing regional produce and premium Australian wines. Together with Dan’s exceptional passion and knowledge of Great Southern produce, they have constructed a menu to complement  Forest Hill’s award winning wines with our local seafood.

Melbourne Cup 2011

Our Melbourne Cup function was a huge sucess this year, which saw nearly one hundred guests enjoy the day of races on the hill. Whether a winner was backed or not, everyone ate, drank and was merry almost until the sun went down.

Daniel Sharp from Sharp Infusion fed the guests on his delectible delights pre race and then with his gourmet burgers and strawberry or chocolate desserts to ensure no one went away hungry. The balcony deck was the place to be with the weather turning out a beautiful Denmark spring day, which was much better than the rain at Flemington. have a look at our Facebook page for more colourful photo’s taken by local photographer Nic Duncan or check out her website to see if you or anyone you know is there!

Forest Hill and Sharp Infusion bring you Melbourne Cup. $67 per person with Dan on the Pans, jazz and fashion parades and wine for sale by the bottle or glass. Call Forest Hill 9848000 before the tickets sell out. Bus available from Albany limited seats. Oysters and Forest Hill Riesling upon arrival from 10:30am. Listen to the sweet jazz sounds of Perth band Honeysuckle Rose on the lawn with models from Denmark’s Didi’s Boutique showing  the latest fashions on the field. Dan Sharp serving divine morsels all day until the sun goes down.
