Sarimilla Charity Dinner and Fundraising Auction

Saturday, 14th August 2010, 6.30pm

Steve, a long time staff member at Forest Hill, his wife Dawn and friend Elizabeth are the founders and Trustees of the ‘Sarimilla Trust’.  Sarimilla was a young girl the trio befriended while working in a village in the west of Nepal.  Sarmilla mysteriously disappeared one nigh soon after, and even after much searching, was never seen again and thought to have been sold by a relative.  The charity raises funds to provide education and training, enabling communities to create a better future for children and adults alike in Nepal.  Help bring this fantastic cause closer to home and make a booking for our Sarmilla Trust Charity Dinner and Fundraising Auction.

All produce is donated by local suppliers; all wines for the dinner will be donated by Forest Hill Vineyard as is all the Auction items for the evening.  The date to remember is Saturday, 14 August 2010, 6.30pm.  A four course Nepalese Degustation Menu is offered for $75 per person with $20 proceeds from each ticket sale going to the Sarimilla Trust.

Winter on the Hill

Friday Nights in August, from 6.30pm

Forest Hill Restaurant has decided to ’stay at home’, after many months of gastronomically ‘travelling the world’ every Friday night.  This will give diners an opportunity to experience our Winter on the Hill menu and sample the skills of our new chefs as they source seasonal local produce and create some very special dishes.  You may choose either a two course ( $42 ) or three course ( $50 ) set menu, with choices of entree, mains and dessert available.
